GSI: Multi-Display Intermediary for High-Trust Research Environments

Generalized Simulator Intermediary
Technology No. CW-22-41
Generalized Simulator Intermediary (GSI) solves the problem of connecting multiple displays in a research environment. It creates a unified intermediary that handles numerous simultaneous connections in closed packets and constant communication. The data is stored in simple strings with tag names and relevant information, and the communication format is .json over an open port. The intermediary allows for parallelized development of displays and speeds up the building of proper data feed infrastructure. It is intended for use in a high-trust research environment and unsuitable for untrusted or vulnerable environments.
