TERMS aims to develop risk-informed predictive analytic capabilities for condition-based monitoring and maintenance to reduce overall maintenance costs. The study uses data from a specific nuclear plant to build algorithms and codes that optimize maintenance strategy and estimate/forecast generation costs based on the state of health of the plant asset. The codes are custom-built for the nuclear industry and have a significant economic value in reducing maintenance costs and keeping the current fleet of reactors operating. Potential customers include the existing fleet of light water reactors, modular reactors, and other non-nuclear industries such as oil & gas and wind farms.
