Access capabilities through CCS communications protocol (AcCCS)

AcCCS is a collection of tools and scripts that emulate Electric Vehicle Communication Controllers (EVCC) and Supply Equipment Communication Controllers (SECC)
Technology No. CW-23-57

AcCCS is a collection of tools and scripts that emulate Electric Vehicle Communication Controllers (EVCC) and Supply Equipment Communication Controllers (SECC). It utilizes open-source code, off-the-shelf hardware, and published protocol specifications to create a versatile and cost-effective test and evaluation device for the Electric Vehicle industry.

AcCCS can simulate both Electric Vehicles (EV) and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). It includes Python scripts to test and evaluate the communication protocols between EVCC and SECC. This capability is valuable for cybersecurity researchers, automotive OEMs, and EVSE manufacturers. No other product with this level of capability has been found. Commercial products available for compliance testing lack the necessary flexibility for cybersecurity and engineering professionals.
