Heron: Electrical Grid Economic Viability Tool

Part of the FORCE framework, HERON evaluates the economic viability of electrical grids and integrated energy systems, focusing on uncertain market events.
Technology No. CW-20-21

HERON is a modeling toolset in the FORCE analysis framework for evaluating economic viability of electrical grids, integrated energy systems, and other grid-energy system configurations. It assesses the impact of uncertain events occurring within a probability distribution envelope that is specific to a particular project, such as a nuclear power plants operating in a deregulated market. HERON specializes in multi-commodity market systems and time-continuous analysis for commodity and energy storage.
