PacketSight: Mitigating Unusual Network Packets

This software identifies, examines, and mitigates unusual network packets using a multi-dimensional latent space representation.
Technology No. CW-23-34

This software identifies, examines, and mitigates unusual network packets using a multi-dimensional latent space representation. It takes network packet payloads as input, categorizes them as either unusual or normal, and presents them in a 3-D latent space representation. The software also enables users to interact with the representation by selecting a packet payload in the latent space to retrieve host ID, network topology, and access raw packet data. This software is particularly valuable for system administrators who supervise a large number of IoT devices. Currently, there is no alternative software solution that offers a latent space representation of network packets and allows interaction with them.
