SubSurface Explorer: Interactive Web-Based Geologic Cross-Section Profiling

This code offers a geologic cross-sectional profile tool within a web map application for DOE-NE Spent Fuels Waste Disposition researchers and stakeholders, enabling versatile, interactive exploration and analysis of subsurface features. Filling a niche need for geologic framework models and geophysical data visualization, this tool allows users to access data through a web browser and create custom, interactive cross-sectional profiles, and charts. While developed for the SFWD project, it has the potential to be expanded across disciplines and could provide subsurface visualization solutions for various fields.
